José Ulisses Correia e SILVA is the Prime Minister of Cabo Verde and he was born on June 4th, 1962 in Praia, Cabo Verde. He studied at the historic Liceu Domingos Ramos da Praia and holds a degree in Organization and Management from the Higher Institute of Economics and Management at the Technical University of Lisbon in 1988.
Ulisses Correia e Silva has extensive experience in the banking sector where he held important positions between 1989 and 1994. His strong technical and managerial skills led him to perform as head of the Department of Administration of the Bank of Brazil in Cabo Verde.
He was elected twice as President of Praia City Council from June 2008 and January 2016, and he has also been the President of MpD – Movement for Democracy.
